South Australian Armoured Trapdoor commonly known as the Adelaide brown trapdoor, found in gardens and open ground with a “D” shaped waterproof lid. 
Distribution: Throughout SA, especially Adelaide. 
Max size: about 40mm.
Feeding on large crickets and smaller and woodies. Do best housed in a mix of substrate consisting of sand, peat and some sandy loam to create a more dense arid type habitat.
