Commonly called Social or Flat Huntsman Spider, Delena cancerides can be distinguished by being very flattened with a red-brown cephalothorax and a grey-brown abdomen. Front legs longer than the back legs. Ends of legs dark brown to black and reach a max size of around 140mm.

Distribution: South-western and eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.

Feeding on large crickets and woodies or smaller.

Best housed in a mesh pop up enclosure or around an 8 litre tub with adequate ventilation.
